Course Outline

In this module you will be shown how to distinguish between several different types of funding arrangements. You will be provided with the skill to distinguish between grants and appropriations, and between donations and sponsorships. The module highlights the distinction between payments that are taxable, GST-free, input taxed and outside the scope of GST.

This is an essential course for any person involved in paying or receiving funding to/from any other source whether they be government related or not. All areas of finance should attend as well as staff involved in community group funding, sponsorships and donations.
