Car Fringe Benefits (F03)

Course Outline

This module is run several times a year to provide you with an opportunity to become acquainted with the FBT treatment of providing cars and other vehicles as fringe benefits. This course provides an in-depth study of vehicles allowing you to distinguish between cars and other vehicles. The statutory and operating methods are analysed as well as the valuation rules for vehicles other than cars. Attendees will be shown how to identify 'exempt' vehicles. A number of problem areas will be discussed such as pool cars, home to work travel, and payment summary reporting requirements.

Who Should Attend

All staff who are involved in FBT. This would include fleet managers. It is an ideal course for any staff member who has responsibility for valuing car benefits, co-ordinating log books, apportionment for payment summaries and finance staff generally.
